‘Raja Shiv Chhatrapati’, depicting and highlighting the important events from birth till coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji, is all set to dazzle Delhiites in the form of a mega opera in Hindi.
After entertaining audiences all around the world through about 1200 shows staged within the country and at international arenas such as Wembley Stadium in London, the iconic play which is an adaption of popular Marathi mega opera ‘Janta Raja’ written by renowned historian Shri Babasaheb Purandare, will be staged at Red Fort grounds in Delhi between 6th to 10th April, 2018.
Known as Asias first and the worlds second largest mega opera, a total of 50,00,000+ people all over the world have witnessed this grand theatrical extravaganza that brings to life, the extraordinary story of Raja Shiv Chhatrapati.
The grandeur of a four-storied stage; over 250 artists in marvelous costumes; elephants and horses create a splendid scenography along with digitally recorded 4-track sound that bring alive the era of Shivaji Maharaj.
