Description- EXHIBITION “FrogFest” a show of frog artefacts.
Celebrating Frogs in art and nature.
I USED TO VOLUNTEER FOR WWF INDIA IN 1976…….WHEN I WAS 16 ….THE JOURNEY CONTINUES …
.Artists from time immemorial have been inspired by the wondrous forms, colours, sounds and sights of nature. The frog too has been part of the repertoire of artists around the world. Frog Fest showcases the amazingly diverse interpretations of the form of the frog. The display of Frog Art presents the personal collection of Seema Bhatt with over 500 frog artefacts from 40 countries. These have been crafted in a mind-boggling variety of shapes sizes, and materials—from the funky kitsch of contemporary artist to indigenous cultures. Explore and discover the wonderful world of frogs in art and in nature at Frog Fest presented by WWF-India.
The display of the collection will be supported by an exhibition of the biodiversity significance of frogs and the need for their conservation.
The exhibition has been curated by Aditya Arya and Mamata Pandya.
