This is the very place where Delhi developed as a city and the monuments in this complex are as old as the city itself. They stand witness to the rise and fall of dynasties, the emergence of a city culture and the founding of new cities. Discover the Architectural wonders that have evolved over the last 800 Years, built by Mamluqss, Khiljis, Tughlaqs, Lodhis, Mughals and finally the British.Monuments Covered in Walks: Pillar Remains of Jain Temple, Iron Pillar, Mihrab, Jami Masjid, Qutb Minar, Alai Darwaza, Tomb of Imam Zamin, Alai Madarsa, Tomb of Iltutmish, Alai Minar, Sun Dial, Cupola of Major Smith, Ruins of Metcalfe.”ABOUT THE WALK PARTNERGaurav Sharma was born in 1987 and has been a lifelong Dilliwala. He grew up amidst the multilayered culture of Delhi. He has an honours degree in History from Dayal Singh College, University of Delhi and subsequently he enhanced his passion by completing ‘INDIA: ART & CULTURE’ certificate from National Museum Institute. His experience of working in art galleries gave him a fair idea of what art connoisseur look for. He has also been a history consultant with TIMES Newspaper in Education. He had a short stint at Khalsa College, St.Stephens College and Department of History at Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Delhi.
