ABOUT THE WALK
“This walk introduces you to the sensual, exotic, depraved and divine representation of women and their bodies through the visual art form, from pre-independence to today.
It is a carefully curated walk that will take you through paintings and sculptures representing women, as well as artworks by women artists. The walk focuses on how ideas of desirable and undesirable femininity are communicated – and how dissent is played out – through art.
This is a two-hour walk open to men and women above 18 years of age.”
ABOUT THE WALK PARTNER
“The walk is conducted by Flow India facilitators, Habiba Insaf and Adhitya Dhanapal. Both Habiba and Adhitya hold a Masters in Arts and Aesthetics from JNU, New Delhi. Presently, Adhitya is pursuing his MPhil at the Centre for Historical Studies. Habiba heads pedagogy and learning at Flow India.
