Description- Workshop Details:

Understanding the process of Clay Making, Baking and Finishing the Masterpiece.
Making basic clay sculptures like flowers, leaves, house, human figures etc.
Making a Mural with two dimensional relief work.
Final Pieces will be fired and and given to each participant within a specified duration.

About the Artist:
The workshop will be conducted by Sarban Chowdhury, MFA in Ceramic art & Pottery. He is currently teaching at Sanskriti Delhi Blue Ceramic Centre.
He has exhibited his works in India and abroad for the past couple of years.He is also a recipient of several fellowships and awards including Prince Claus Fund Grant from Holland, Prafulla Dahanukar Award, Percey Brown Award, National Scholarship by the Ministry of Culture etc.
He has been a part of numerous art residencies and symposium as such International Wood Fire Ceramic Symposium in Russia, Piramal Art Residency in Mumbai, Uttarayan Art Foundation in Baroda

General Information:
A mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other permanent surface.
A distinguishing characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture.
